Cold Laser Therapy

Laser/Light therapy is a therapeutic modality that emits photons (light) in very specific regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Laser/Light Therapy is the most researched and published modality in physical rehabilitation. It has demonstrated a multitude of clinical benefits that include relieving minor muscular and joint aches, relieving pain and stiffness associated with arthritis, relaxing muscle spasms and increasing blood circulation.

Light Therapy can be made up of different types of light including Laser, SLD and LED lights. The laser component is sometimes referred to as Low Level Laser or Cold Laser.

Cold Laser Therapy is delivered by placing a laser probe directly on the surface of the skin. Treatments last between 1 and 15 minutes and are dependent upon the condition being treated and the size or area of the condition. Chronic conditions and injuries typically require multiple treatments with the Laser.

“I was sent to Park Place Chiropractic for treatments after a car hit me while I was on my bike. I had severe pain in my right foot. I had trouble walking and was not able to work an 8-hour shift as an assistant cook. After two cold laser treatments and within two weeks, I was walking normally. After six laser treatments, the pain in my right foot was completely gone and on the way for complete recovery. I’m able to work without any problems standing for 8 hours.”  -- Annette Buggs, Patient
